Getting The Right Bra For You
Getting the right surgical bra is just as important as getting the right actual bra. That means you want to get the size, feel, and pressure just right so that your post surgery recovery goes as well as it possibly can, and you can start feeling better faster. Getting the right bra size is simple. There are two essential measurements you need to take:
1) Band Size. Band size is an important consideration in these kinds of medical bras. To get it just right, simply measure from the circumference of your ribcage, right underneath your breasts. Then, if your measurement is an even number, add 4 inches. If it’s an odd number, add five inches. The resulting number is your appropriate band size.
2) Cup Size. Cup size is measured by holding one end of the tape to the center of your chest, on a parallel line with your nipples, and measuring from that point across the nipple to the outside of the breast (or armpit). With that measurement in hand, consult the chart below to get your accurate size. At Recovery Elements, we’re committed to getting you the best post surgical bra money can buy.
