Blepharoplasty or cosmetic eyelid surgery improves the appearance of droopy, puffy, or wrinkled upper and/or lower eyelids. The surgery gives the surrounding eye area a rejuvenated appearance, making you look more rested and youthful.
Eyelid Surgery (blepharoplasty) can cause excessive swelling and bruising. Eyes bruise easily and will at first have an intense red and then become a muddy purple and finally a yellow appearance. There are several products that can help expedite and enhance your comfort after you eye surgery.
Staying elevated after eyelid surgery will help minimize the swelling. Elevation helps drain some of the swelling down and increases circulation. Several Pillows or Bed Wedges are useful elevating the head and are a comfortable solution.
